MALE SYNDROME

For a vivacious person, I have been a bit melancholic for days and it’s been dragging on and on. I missed laughing and being in people’s faces but I’ve not been up to that of late and it’s not something I am enjoying. Even my colleague had to start pressing me for info and started giving me gist about her friends and their sour love life. I just couldn’t find the link between my moody self and her stories until it clicked!
Must a man be the reason behind a girl’s mood? Can’t there be something else that would cause a single Christian chic like me to be in a foul mood other than the opposite sex? I was beyond livid but I listened to all her stories and told her nothing. Well, I’m sure you also want to know the reason for my moodiness. Like a friend of mine would say; ‘man matter sha…’

IS VIVACIOUSNESS NOW A SIN? (3)

So this chat spree continued for days and I won’t deny that I enjoyed every bit of it partly because I knew I was getting back at those uptight fellows and chatting is always fun for me. I won’t deny that at some point I took pity on my fellow members cos I know what it feels like abandoning your phone for a few minutes only to see over a hundred chats from one group. At that point, I knew I had stretched my luck.

My predictions were correct and my joy short-lived as I was reported to the leader of the ministry which my department was under. Well that brought with it severe reprimand, a fine and also a firm warning that I should desist from desecrating the group. So I ask, is vivaciousness is sin?

IS VIVACIOUSNESS NOW A SIN? (2)

The department I belong to has this WhatsApp group and so one fateful day, I went on a chat series with a couple of my allies on the group chat. We talked about different things, sending emojis back and forth. Okay let’s PAUSE!

Have you ever been in a group and it’s like some set of people are yapping on about somethings and your phone keeps buzzing; its either you’re in a meeting, or working on something important or just in a sour mood and these people keep yapping like they’re unperturbed by your situation? I’m sure you have. So let’s CONTINUE!

IS VIVACIOUSNESS NOW A SIN?

It is no news to you that I am a very vivacious person and I always want to be happy. Most times it rubs off on people close to me while other times it irritates the s#@t out of them. The bottom line is that I don’t care because I am having fun and they are not; just sucking up their boring ol self.

I belong to a department in church where my fellow members are the definition of what we call uptight. Those people can form like they don’t throw their head back and laugh with reckless abandon (I pity them if that’s the case). I love to laugh and be happy because it’s so much fun and better than being straight-faced all the time. I have been tagged a rebel cos of this and that was how it happened…

THE CALL...

waiting on a call

Okay so yesterday I got so busy that I wasn’t able to have my regular chitchat with you mes amis but that doesn’t stop me from giving you all the juicy details about how it all went. Well, the organization I work for is shooting a documentary so they opted for me to be their interviewer during this docuseries and I happily obliged. So in order to look like a ‘media girl’ (that’s the word my boss used), I had to dress in all denim

WAITING... FOR HIM OR WHAT?

Have you ever had that feeling like you are waiting for something but you don’t know what it is? You sha just believe you would recognize it once you see it. Well, that is exactly how I feel at the moment. I am definitely not lacking in the department of good looks or physique; on the contrary, God took his time in that area but I’m not in any serious relationship at the moment because I have not seen what I’m waiting for; some say I live in the clouds but whatever rocks their boat.
