I am not an
agitator for marriage because honestly aside from bearing children, I see no
other purpose marriage can fulfil. Some say companionship, well with that I have
little or no reservation but no one has been able to give me a genuine concrete
reason why marriage is seen as compulsory most especially in Nigeria. So recently,
I got an offer I never knew I was waiting for all along and that is to be his
baby mama. He said it in plain English; “I want you to carry my child”.

AS COMPLICATED AS THEY COME...(3)
So I thought to myself “why una kom waste my time like dis; hian?” anyways that was when they now told me that they have an NGO they just registered and how they would like for me to be part of the people that will add value to the organization. Well, what do you think I did? The first question I asked was; “is the pay still the same?” me, I am blunt like that (lol) so immediately I got the answer I needed I accepted the job with open arms. Work don start be that!

AS COMPLICATED AS THEY COME...(2)
Okay let me
give you one small expo into my life. Well, I am very much involved in the art and
culture sector. You know how it is with this people now, you are only very
active and in job when there are events or programmes to plan but once that is
over you wait for the next one. Sometimes that period of waiting can be very
long and other times quite short. On one of those waiting days, when I was
brooding over my lack of money, a friend of mine sent me a broadcast message of
an organization that was looking for a PA. With the requirements gaan; tall,
fair, pretty, etc I didn’t even want to try it (na chic dem dey sell?) and PA
for that matter but on a second thought the fact that it came with a car and a
6 digit salary, I thought otherwise.

AS COMPLICATED THEY COME…
I am guilty as
charged! I went MIA for longer period than I thought and I am sincerely sorry
about that. I missed you but the good news about it is that I have a bucket
load of gist to dole out to you. Oya I am sure that your ears are itching to hear
all these juicy gists but first things first let me say it feels good to be back with you!

BLIND DATE... (3)

The D-day came and in my head I had played the scenario of how we would meet, and I would charm him with my beauty while making him laugh with my much appraised sense of humour and after that he would fall madly in love with me; buy me an emerald engagement ring (I’ve always admired that green stone) and how we would have the fairy tale wedding like that of Kanye and Kim K. It was a perfect plan in my head and I couldn’t wait for it to fall in place (lol).

BLIND DATE...(2)

I asked for
a picture cos I felt I should at least see this person that wants to snatch me
off the singles market to know if it was worth my time and effort. That was
when the brother told me that he didn’t have the guy’s picture. So I thought to
myself, a blind date in this present day and age of social media domination? Haba!

BLIND DATE...

I apologize
for being away for so long and it was primarily because we had our major
conference in my church and that took an ample lot of my time and energy. The
good news is that I am back and better with another interesting episode of my
life to share with you. Okay well enough of my banter. So while I was away, the
church became my second home because there was so much planning to do.
On one of
those days, that was how one of the brothers in church who I happen to have
shared a few laughs with (he’s married so don’t think that the title of my blog
would change so soon) called and said he wanted to see me and so I obliged.
